Sunshine Blogger Award– Tagged Again!

Good Afternoon, Cyberspace! How is everybody today? Can you feel that beautiful sunshine bursting through that copse of trees o’er yonder?

No?

Well then, I believe it is time to add a little bit of sunshine to your otherwise dreary life.

WITH A TAG! (Duhn duhn DUHN!)

Now, I’ve actually been tagged two times already for the Sunshine Blogger award, so obviously you’re probably groaning and rolling over in your tomb because you have to slog through me answering fun and seemingly random questions again, but let’s be honest here.

This is an award. An award that was given to me.

You think I’m just gonna let this opportunity fly by without snatching it up?

I’m like Patrick Star–I never ever get awards. So when I do get an award, you think I’m just gonna let it sit in a cardboard box and let it rust?

No way, SpongeBob.

So today I shall be answering the lovely questions given to me by the wonderful Hope from The Reader Addict (thank you SO much for the tag, Hope! These are some of my favorite tags!), and hopefully you shall learn a little bit more about me in the process!

Because who doesn’t want to know more about me, am I right?

So without further ado, I give thee the rules–

~Rules~

~ Thank the kind cookie who nominated you and link back to their blog (because that is proper bloggy etiquette)

~ Answer the 11 questions the nominator threw at your face

~ Nominate 11 other people, and throw 11 wacky questions at their faces

~ List the rules and display the award (I DON’T REMEMBER AN AWARD FROM BEFORE? HELP???)

And now for the questions!

~Ze Questions~

1. What is the craziest dessert you have ever had or wanted? I mean craziest! The whole works!

Ah. Sit back and relax whilst I tell you a story–

Once upon a time, my brother and I decided to dip Oreo cookies into Pizza Hut’s marinara sauce.

It was disgusting. It was weird. The flavors seemed to swarm into a mushy goo inside our mouths.

Somehow, by the power of my tongue of steel, I was able to swallow the concoction of death.

My brother, however, was not so fortunate, and I managed to win that round of “WHO CAN EAT THE WEIRDEST THING?”

It’s actually a real game we play together, and, though we usually tie for first, there’s always some debate on who actually won. (SPOILER: It’s me [not really…])

He’s literally the best.

2. Who is your idol (or who do you admire) and why?

Ooh… Okay, I think the person I admire the most is my mom. I mean, idols are nice and all, but let’s be honest–

I’ve never met them. I don’t know their lives. I don’t know their story. All I know is the propaganda that’s splashed across the news.

My mom is my bestest friend, and definitely the person I admire the most.

3. What toppings do you take on your pizza?

VEGGIES!!!! Mushrooms, green peppers, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, green olives, black olives, pineapple… I could go on and on, really. Any foodstuff that could even be labeled as a veggie, I AM THROWING ON THAT PIZZA.

Fun Fact! I absolutely LOATHE meat on pizza. Especially sausage.

Sausage is absolutely disgusting, and for whatever reason, they always put those weird little green seeds on them? Like, what is even the point of that? To make me chip a tooth? To flavor up this strange little fat glob you threw on my perfectly good slice of pizza?

WHAT IS THE POINT????

4. What is your least favorite movie/book/TV show?

Am I supposed to answer all of these, or is it just pick the one you’re most obsessed with???

I’m gonna answer book and TV show…

BOOK– I actually cannot pick a favorite book, but I CAN pick a favorite series!

Or ninety…

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, and (I’m just gonna throw it in there) Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin, are just a few of my favorites; however, that list could easily quadruple in size if you give me five minutes and a glance at my bookshelf…

TV SHOW– SHEEEEEERRRRRRLLLOOOOOOOOCCCCCKKKKKKK!!!!!!

5. If you could change into any kind of animal, which one would it be and why?

Ooh! I love this question! I think, if my options include being a magical creature, my answer would have to be a dragon, or possibly the Loch Ness monster…

But if we’re talking normal critters, I would probably choose a chipmunk.

Because that’s what I look like. #spiritanimal

6. What is one thing you can’t live without that is not a piece of technology?

A pen. Or, more specifically, my fountain pen or my quill, and obviously a bottle of ink. (So that’s kinda two things, but THEY GO TOGETHER! #TRUELUV)

Because, honestly, I can go through life without laptops and tablets and even paper. But I cannot write if I have no pen. With a pen, everything and anything (and anyone) can become your notebook. But if you just have a sheet of paper, basically all you can do is crumple it up and hope you remember your story ideas for when laptops come back into existence.

Or, you know, become the expert origami master. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

7. Which famous person or celebrity would you never want to meet?

I actually don’t like meeting any celebrities. They’re famous and frightening and extremely terrifying.

But if I had to pick one that I would never want to meet, I would probably have to pick…

Yeah, no. That might cause too much political controversy.

Moving on–

8. You get to spend the afternoon with your favorite human being from history. Who is this person and what do you guys/gals do for the afternoon?

Ooh! My favorite human being from history…

You know, I think I would have to pick Jane Austen. I’d have so many questions to ask her, so I’d probably just chain her down to a chair and drill her for all of the answers to my writerly questions while demanding she spill all of her writing secrets…

Or, you know, we could have a nice picnic in a park and just be good friends. Either option works…

9. What were your top three favorite childhood shows to watch?

Favorite childhood shows? CHILDHOOD?

I mean… Yeah! Childhood shows! Obviously.

Years and years and yeeaaarrs ago, I used to watch–

~ Sonic X (If I could find this show again, there is literally nothing that would stop me from watching it until my eyeballs turned to goo…)

~ Jimmy Neutron

~ SpongeBob SquarePants

FUN FACT! My siblings and I used to think that Phineas and Ferb was boring when we were children because it was repetitive, and pretty much the exact same thing happened in each episode.

It is now one of our absolute favorite cartoons. (“Bigger than a refrigerator, but smaller than a really big refrigerator!”)

10. Narnia or Middle Earth?

Middle Earth, hands down. If I could magically teleport to Middle Earth, I would die of complete and utter happiness.

And also probably from getting trampled by massive orcs. But that death shall be GLORIOUS!

But seriously! Can you imagine getting to meet Sam and Pippin and Mary and Aragorn and Gandalf and Legolas and Gimli and ride a horse through Middle Earth and visit the Shire and meet the elves and slap Frodo across the face?

Because that would be awesome…

11. How do you take your coffee or tea?

Did you just say…tea?

ASDFGHJKLASDFGHJKLASDFGHJKL!!!!! AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHHHH! THE LEMONY DEATH! I CAN STILL TASTE IT ON MY TONGUE AND IN MY THROAT AND JUST BLECH! BLECHETY BLECH BLECH!

Ahem! I mean–tea is not precisely my drink of choice. Pardon me, sir.

Coffee is also slightly weird for me, but I sort of like it…

If it’s frozen and injected with chocolate and topped with whipped cream, that is.

When it’s like that, it’s delicious!

Well, that’s it for the questions! Time for me to tag my fellow cookies!

~Ze Questions~

~ If you could have one day (24 hours, exactly) to be any fictional character you wanted, which would you pick and WHY?

~ Would you rather be a mime for 24 hours, or speak in nothing but haikus for 42 hours? (answers must reflect what you pick [i.e. ‘I would choose Haiku, because it is easier, than never speaking…’ {GIF’s are allowed and also ENCOURAGED}])

~ Chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry?

~ Would you rather be a dragon or a phoenix?

~ Ursula gives you an ultimatum: (A) become a mermaid forever (complete with the tail), but be unable to breathe underwater, or (B) stay a human forever and no longer be able to breathe air, but breathe underwater instead. Which do you pick?

~ Describe to me your favorite color, without using the color’s name… (this is not a question, but I CARE NOT!)

~ You’re given the option of becoming famous overnight, or being a small town-celebrity. Which do you pick, and why? (#deep)

~ Would you rather have the Beast or the library?

~ Do You Wanna Build a Snowman? Or stay locked up in your room all day reading books and writing stories?

~ Which falls faster–the chicken or the egg?

~ Middle Earth is at war with Narnia. Which side wins?

    • EEEK! An extremely long post! My favorite!!!

Ah, yes, my brother is AMAZING! I love him so much! And bahahaha! That would be AWESOME! I wonder if we can magically teleport human beings through a computer?

Yeesssss!!! My mom is the BEST!!! (And wait…wait…was it MORIARTY???? I THINK THAT WAS MORIARTY, BUT I CAN’T BE ENTIRELY SURE… IF IT WAS I SHALL FANGIRL FOR FIVE MILLION YEARS…)

Pride and Prejudice was utterly astounding, so OF COURSE it had to go on my favorites! I love Elizabeth and Darcy just WAY TOO MUCH, to be honest…

Awww! That is adorable!! XD And not weird at all! I do the same with other people’s posts and tags… Is this a universal thing that everybody does? I guess tags are sort of like a way to advertise other people’s blogs?

OF COURSE I TAGGED YOU! If I had not, I would have to eat three million cookies to drown my sorrows. The result of such a feat would not be pretty…

He’s…well…sort of a… *coughidiotcough* BUT YOU DID NOT HEAR THIS FROM ME, OBVIOUSLY. *hides behind giant cookie*

I am now thankful that I picked Middle Earth, for I am still alive because of it…

  6. Green olives are basically all I eat on pizza! They’re so good! I also agree with you on the meat topping thing. That being said, I’m pretty sure on your “veggie topping” list, only two of those things were actually veggies due to the “law of fruit” I suppose. :) Also the part where you mentioned slapping Frodo across the face made me smile. I don’t even read those books, but still. Also, phoenixes are awesome!

    Liked by 1 person

    • Yesssssss!!! Green olives are the best!!!

Ah, yes… But I believe that the ‘law of fruit’ is terminated the minute pizza is involved in the equation. It makes life much simpler!!

I actually haven’t been able to finish the books yet, either, but I HAVE seen the movies, and Frodo=extremely slappable…

YESSSSS! Pheonixes are the BEST!!!! *high-fives for awesome opinion*

    • Oh don’t get me wrong! The Oreos in marinara sauce was DISGUSTING. But ooh!! Tuna is delicious, but I don’t think I’ve ever had butternut squash?? I bet it tastes delicious mixed together, however! XD

      • Ha! It’s the only food that makes my dad want to vomit on sight (or smell). Everyone but me thinks it’s disgusting. In fact, my mom refuses to have both of them in the house at the same time, just in case I get hungry. :)

  7. Dang it, Kenzie!!!!!! I was just about to do some writing (because for once I was feeling inspired) when I just happened to check for new posts and saw this. Now, all that I can think about is answering your incredibly wonderful and brilliant questions!!!!! How could you!?!

Lol, you and your brother’s game! That is the best! ;) Haha, you would prefer a pen to a book?!?! I admit that I never watched any of those cartoons :P

High Fives to choosing Middle Earth!! (Don’t tell anybody, but I would love to do more than slap Frodo when he yells at Sam)

Lol, I should think that by your answer to the last question that tea is one of your arch nemesis ;)

Thank you! Thank You! Thank you for nominating me!!! So excited to answer your questions!!! :D (even though it did just steal my writing time… :/ )

    • Oh dear! I am so sorry, Anna! However, I should warn you that while I might be the QUEEN OF COOKIES, my alternate name is PRINCESS OF PROCRASTINATION, and I tend to suck everyone down into the swirling pit of procrastination with me. I am, however, eternally sorry to have crushed the inspiration you have managed to accumulate. HERE! TAKE SOME COOKIES FOR COMPENSATION!! 😂😂

Ugh. I know, right? It’s awesome!! And yes! Because while I LOVE reading, I would not be able to live if I could not write…YOU HQVE NEVER SEEN SPONGEBOB???? YOU MUST WATCH IMMEDIATELY!!!

Ugh, yes, SAAAAMMMEEEE! Frodo just needs to take a chill pill…

It really is, to be honest… Tea and I do not get along very well…

YOU ARE WELCOME!! And I do apologize! But MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That means MY QUESTIONS ARE SO UNIQUE THAT YOU MUST ANSWER THEM BEFORE CONTINUING YOUR LIFE! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  8. Oh my gosh, this was so much fun to read, Kenzie! I’m laughing, I’m crying, I need a minute to calm down . . . deep breath. Whew. OK. Down to business. Oreo cookies with marinara sauce, I will have to try that. And oh, Jimmy Neutron . . . the nostalgia. And have you ever tried peppermint tea with a bit of maple syrup? Lemon isn’t my favorite and I’ll only drink peppermint. I totally should’ve also put how you take your hot chocolate . . . that would’ve been good.

    Liked by 1 person

    • I AM SO GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT! XD

Wait no, DO NOT TRY THE OREOS WITH MARINARA!! It is SO LOOK gross! It’s honestly like a scientific concoction exploded in your mouth. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! And Jimmy Neutron is the BEST!

Oh my goodness, I have not, but that sounds DELICIOUS. I’m gonna try that tomorrow morning… I think I have some peppermint tea stashed away somewhere, and I might be able to find some syrup in the fridge or somewhere, so I’m GONNA DO THIS!!!

Thank you so much again for tagging me! It was so much fun!!!! XD

  9. An oreo and marinara sauce…The closest I can come to that strange concoction is that my sister once wondered what it would be like to dip a corn chip into some cranberry jelly stuff. So I tried it, being strangely adventurous.
It was not as dramatic an ordeal as yours. Nor an ordeal. xD

You don’t like meat on pizza…? *Shuffles slowly away from the strange being*

Dragon or a chipmunk. What a contrast. But chipmunks are thoroughly adorable. <3

I think Jane Austen would highly disapprove of you chaining her to a chair to interrogate her about stories. I just don't think it would be very successful, is all… xD

AND! Thank you for tagging me, here is my very first tag post!!!

Mostly because I do not like cranberries… XD So my hat is DEFINITELY OFF TO YOU, SIR!

Yeah… Meat on pizza is pretty much the worst thing ever… It’s just so groooosss…

Oh, yes, I know, right? But I LOVE chipmunks and I also LOVE dragons, so it’s a hard choice between the two!

Oh no, I’m sure Jane and I would be the best of friends! Who doesn’t like getting strapped down to a chair??? XD

You’re SO VERY WELCOME!! And EEK! I shall read it as soon as I can! I cannot wait!

  11. Hi Kenzie! Could I ask you to possibly take that little “Sunshine Blogger Award” image out of your post? It was a graphic I made by myself, and that wasn’t the “official” award image. Someone took it off of my blog without permission, and while it has my blog name on it, I don’t feel very comfortable with that on someone else’s blog. :) Thanks so much, and YES THE LUNAR CHRONICLES AND HARRY POTTER <3

    Thanks again! :)
