The Allotting of The Dares // The NaNoWriMo Dare Squad Wrap-Up Video(s)

good morning, cyberspace!

Well, folks. You know what this is.

A long, long, looooong time ago, I promised you all a video of my face handing out the NaNoWriMo Dare Squad dares to all us losers. And though it took many months and a few outtakes during the Q&A section (don’t get your hopes up, peasants. they have been deleted), I have finally gotten over my fear of talking to literally no one and have created the video.

Or, shall I say, videos, because for some reason I can’t figure out how to merge them. Aha.

But anyway, here you go, my friends. The first video is the Q&A, in which I answer all of the questions you lovely folks sent in to me (I think I forgot to say thank you for sending in questions in the video, so I’m just gonna fling a giant THANK YOU!!!!! at all of your faces right here instead. . . *flings thanks at your face*), and the second video is the actual allotting of the dares, in which the video quality is poor, the editing out of flubbed up words is even poorer, and during which you can see (if you squint hard enough) the fact that I was too lazy to erase my first effort at jotting down some Dare Squadian names on my scrap paper, and so I decided to just cross them out like some sort of weird hitlist instead. #normal

I promise I’m not trying to murder you, guys.

But anyway. Here you go, peasants. Enjoy watching me flail and make a fool of myself! *thumbs up*

(also for anyone who is wondering — no. i am never making another video like this ever again. i am a blogger, not a youtuber, and i think that fact is extremely apparent at this point.)

EDIT NOTE: Apparently WordPress will not allow me to just post the video like a normal person, so I had to upload the videos to YouTube. #FUNTIMES Fortunately for me, I was able to keep them unlisted so that virtually no one will ever be able to find them, so here you guys go! I’ve also got the names and dare numbers listed down below, so even if you don’t want to watch the videos through completely, you can just skippity skip down to the bottom of this page and check out which dare you got!

(oh! one other thing. when i say “bad dares” near the beginning of this video, what I’m really trying to say is “super embarrassing dares”. when i’m nervous i just kind of ramble and fail to word properly. so. yeah. fun times.)

TALK TO ME, PEASANTS

Well. This was properly horrifying. I’m actually not all that comfortable with posting videos of myself onto the internet, but I mean? New year, new experiences, amiright? (this is never happening ever again, oh my word) Hopefully I’ll be able to sleep tonight without having a panic attack. . .

BUT ANYWAY! How about you guys? How have you all been? I’m assuming this post means I’m back from my Hiatus, so let’s talk about all of the glorious things you’ve been doing, shall we? And as for all you NaNoWriMo Dare Squadians out there. . .what do you think of the results for the Dare Squad? I’m actually pretty excited with the one I got (I believe I also failed to mention that mine was submitted by the lovely Eva. . .), and I am EXTREMELY stoked to see what all of my fellow losers do with the dares they’ve received!!! I hope all of you are having the very happiest of New Years, and here’s hoping this video is not the end of my existence here on earth. Aha. *nerves*
