Voted Most Likely! — A Writer Tag

 good morning, cyberspace!

As you can most likely guess by the title of this smudge, today’s post is going to be extremely fun.

Just recently (literally yesterday. aha. #oops?), I was tagged by the amazing, the glorious, the absolutely FANTASTICAL Phoebe from over at So It Is (Re)Written to do her brand spanking new writer’s tag, Voted Most Likely!!

And let me tell you guys, this tag looks fabulous. I read through the post just this morning and immediately knew I had to participate. The questions are perfect. The GIF’s Phoebe used are perfect. The fact that I get to use my own original characters to answer this tag, rather than use a bunch of characters created by other writers is — you guessed it — perfect.

Basically every single thing about this tag is absolute perfection, and I just couldn’t wait until next week to post my answers.

Aaaaaaand I may or may not have been busy over the weekend, which means that a blog post did not get written for this week. So I mean, not only is Phoebe an amazing friend, but she’s also my lifesaver for the day. #yay!

So without any further ado (and because I’m super lazy and don’t want to write a giant intro) let’s jump right into the tag!!

(also I feel like I should mention that I THINK I might have sprained my wrist yesterday? so if my sentences seem a little weird or stilty today, let’s just blame it on the fact that my wrist is currently burning. lol. *thumbs up*)

Now, since Phoebe explained the general gist of the game in basically the most concise way possible over on her tag post, I’m just going to quickly paste what she said into my post. Because I’m terrible at explaining things and usually everyone is super confused by the time I’m done, anyway.

Rule Three . . . Use your OWN original characters for the tag! Don’t use a friend’s characters or the characters from your favorite fandoms. Your characters can come from any project, just so long as you’re the one who created them. (and also Phoebe suggests using as many different characters as possible to increase the fun, and I’m totally going to do that because I have some characters none of you guys know about. mwahahahahahahaha.)

. . . VOTED MOST LIKELY — The Tag . . .

. . . Most Likely to Be a Poet . . .

Oh goodness. This one’s actually a little difficult. I can honestly see SO MANY of my characters being super secret poets, but since I want to use them later on in this post (*cough Adaline cough*) I need to try and pick someone else. . .

I think the character that I can see being a poet the most — besides Adaline, of course — would probably be The Wizard I mentioned a few posts back from The Girl and The Goblin King. It might sound strange, but I can just see this bizarre little old man whacking people over the heads with his cane and prattling on about ancient prophesies that he totally didn’t just make up on the spot. . .

(HINT: he totally makes the prophesies up on the spot. . .)

. . . Most Likely to Dance in the Rain . . .

Bella. Absolutely Bella. She’s been locked up indoors for so many years that I just know that the minute she gets outside again, she’s going to lift up her face to the skies and soak in whatever weather happens to be pouring down on her at the moment.

And knowing Crocodoc, it’s definitely going to be raining when she finally busts out of there. . . It’ll be a full-on storm, complete with thunder and lightning and possibly a murder or two.

. . . Most Likely to Look Good in a Kilt . . .

i really really really really really want to say Thao for this one. . .

I’m honestly not sure whether any of my characters would look good in a kilt??? But, for the sake of the question, I am going to choose Chess.

I mean, he’s technically my muse, and he’s not exactly part of a story, but he’s still a creation of mine, right? (Uhhhhhhh–no. For your information, I am a living breathing person who–) So obviously this should count as an answer.

Chess it is, then! He would look absolutely marvelous in a kilt, I’m sure. It would go great with his hair. . .

(I hate you. I hate you so so much.)

. . . Most Likely to Get Punched in the Face . . .

Thao.

. . .

I’m not really sure I have to give you guys a reason for this? Aha.

I guess I’ll just say that it is definitely not unnatural for Thao to come across as a little. . .too much. . .to the other smol characters of everlost. And also in EV’s first draft, Thao actually was punched in the face rather splendidly by none other than Bella.

So yes. Thao would definitely be the one to get punched in the face. It has happened before, and it would seriously not surprise me if it happened again.

. . . Most Likely to Drop Everything and Become a Sheep Herder . . .

I have been staring at this question for a solid five minutes, and I still don’t know what my answer is going to be for this.

Actually, you know what? I think I’m going to have to go with Martin the Mime  from The Girl and The Goblin King on this one. I mean, technically he’s a mime, so obviously he should be more inclined to be my choice for Number 12, but Martin absolutely hates being a mime, so I think dropping everything he’s ever known and becoming a Sheep Herder sounds right up his alley.

Although the sheep are proooobably going to be missing a few eyeballs, because this is The Girl and The Goblin King we’re talking about here. Aha.

. . . Most Likely to Be Found in the Library . . .

You know what’s strange? Literally none of my characters feel like they’re supposed to be found in a library. And as someone who absolutely adores libraries, this has been quite a shock to my system.

However, after much grueling thought, I think I’m going to have to pick Bertha from everlost.

I mean, she’s definitely not the bookworm type, but I can definitely see her being one of those stuffy old librarians you always see in the movies, shushing people whenever they dare make even the slightest peep. She’s got the perfect attitude and vibe for a crotchety old librarian who everyone (*cough Thao cough*) hopes isn’t on duty when they have to check a book out.

. . . Most Likely to Sleep Through an Earthquake . . .

Nathan from everlost. I mean. . .can anyone actually deny the fact that this guy will sleep through literally anything? I’m pretty sure he’d wake up to the aftermath of the earthquake, take one look around, wonder what on earth had happened to the island, and then toddle off to go make himself a burrito.

This guy is the perfect picture of chill, you guys.

. . . Most Likely to Steal Food from Other Peoples’ Plates . . .

Absolutely, positively Adaline from everlost. As I’m sure you all know by now, this little pumpkin knows literally nothing about personal space and boundaries. And don’t even get me started on what she’d do if you happened to have some vanilla pudding on your plate. . .

. . . Most Likely to Cheat on a Test . . .

Thao, obviously

I think I’m going to have to go with Finn from White as Snow, Dark as Night for this one. And since this book happens to be my own personal little pet project, absolutely NO ONE knows ANYTHING about this story. And I’d very much like to keep it that way.

However, when it comes to cheating on a test, I’m pretty sure Finn would be the most likely to do it.

Because he’s kind of a lovable scoundrel and he’s actually a precious cinnamon roll but whatever.

. . . Most Likely to Say “Oops” After Setting Something on Fire . . .

This award definitely belongs to Rose from everlost. Seeing as though she’s set things on fire before (multiple times. ahem.), I honestly cannot give it to anyone else.

This question (award?) is literally the epitome of everything that Rose is, so if you’ve ever found yourself wanting to know more about her. . .there you go. She sets things on fire and laughs.

. . . Most Likely to Open an Orphanage . . .

. . . Most Likely to Run off with the Circus . . .

Todd from The Girl and The Goblin King. Absolutely. And I promise you it’s not because he wanted to.

Mwahahahahahahahaha. . .

. . . Most Likely to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse . . .

This one has to go to Jevron from everlost, because he would totally just use every single one of his workers as a human shield until they were all picked off, and then — when he had literally no other options left — he’d probably pull a bazooka or some other incredibly unbelievable weapon out from nowhere and shoot all the zombies down before they could murder him.

So yeah. That’s Jevron for you. Using his employees as human shields since 3032.

^^^ okay but is that Matt Smith??? ^^^

. . . Most Likely to Fake Their Own Death . . .

Ooh, this one’s tough. But I think I’m going to have to go with Wendy from everlost for this one.

“And what’s this??” you say??? A never-before-seen character from everlost?? AHA. YES. And this is literally all you’re going to know about her, my friend. Out of all my characters, she’s the most likely to fake her own death.

Take from that what you will.

. . . Most Likely to Die and Haunt Their Friends . . .

THESE QUESTIONS ARE SO MUCH TOUGHER THAN I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE. ARGH.

Okay. For this one I’m going to have to pick someone from The Girl and The Goblin King, but who that is, I’m really not sure. . . Possibly one of the triplets? Or the scarecrow. . .

YES. THE SCARECROW. Definitely the Scarecrow. The Scarecrow would absolutely die just so that he could come back to life and haunt his friends. That is him in a nutshell. He’s a prankster through and through, and absolutely nothing — not even death — will stop him from continuing to pull pranks on Martin the Mime.

(and also I just realized there is a scarecrow in this book. #themoreyouknow)

And there you have it, folks! That was the Voted Most Likely tag!! I know I kind of skimped on some of the reasons as to why I chose some of the characters that I did (because of SPOILERS!!!!) but overall I tried to be as open and honest as I could be.

But anyway, now that I’ve officially jotted down all my answers to these most marvelous questions, it is finally time for me to choose some of you guys to participate in the tag as well! If, however, I do not tag your name, please please please do not be afraid to steal a tag for yourself! This tag was so much fun to do, and I want literally everyone to be able to participate.
